Known to many in the Western world simply as “Pikarin,” Hikari Shiina made her debut as a model of “POPTEEN” in 2010 while being a junior high school student. She became very popular in otaku culture and circles due to her strange and unique brand of fashion style, and eventually formed her musical career, becoming a 25,000 year old demon from Makai (the Demon world). Her music blends brutal metal with death vocals and also catchy idol choruses and riffs.
