The first album of the reboot from Okinawa Electric Girl Saya to Saya is released
Since her teens, Okinawa Electric Girl Saya has built her own world with Okinawan music, noise, electro music, ambient, and experimental music, and has been active in collaboration with various artists both in Japan and abroad, such as the band Saya Kaidan with Hijokaidan and the unit Seikon with Keiji Haino, in parallel with her solo activities. The album “Saya: Saya”, which marks the start of her new start as Saya, will be released by the newly launched label “SHISA SOUND WAVE”.
Guests include Aragaki Mutsumi, who develops a unique world of Okinawan music that has attracted attention worldwide, HARIKUYAMAKU, who expresses Okinawan music and folk songs with a unique and unique tropical dub, ORIONBEATS, also known as Hiroyama Tetsushi, a member of RYUKYUDISKO and NEE NEE, a leading figure in Okinawan club sound, and the founder of RAKUEN RABEL, actor, film director, and rapper Higashimori Aika, who attracted attention for her Yonaguni language rap on social media. The jacket, booklet and CD designs were done by manga artist Kamui Fujiwara. The album is a further evolution of the sound world, mixing electro-based POPS, Okinawan music, dub, breakbeats, rap and EDM, making it even more pop. As a musician and singer-songwriter, Saya has broken new ground and completed her latest sound world.
